Integrate the Drawspan .NET SDK
Add licensing to a Windows plugin without making the host wait for the network. Start one handle, read its current state where work begins, and dispose it when the plugin unloads.
Quick start
Install Drawspan.Client.V1 from NuGet, add the generated vendor configuration, and start one license handle for the lifetime of your plugin. See installation commands and supported runtimes.
using Drawspan.Client;
_license = DrawspanLicense.Start(new DrawspanOptions
{
ProductId = "your-product-id",
VendorConfig = YourVendorConfig.Instance,
HostApp = "Your host",
HostVersion = "2026"
}); Before protected work, read Status. Licensed and Warning allow work; Unlicensed does not.
Follow the integration path
1. Install the packageSupported frameworks, tested runtimes, and Windows support. 2. Add vendor configurationWhy the public keys are safe to commit and required offline. 3. Own the lifecycleStart once, observe state safely, and dispose once. 4. Gate protected workHandle Licensed, Warning, and Unlicensed correctly. 5. Support offline useFirst activation, cached leases, renewal, and resolution UI.
Rules to keep
- Keep one
DrawspanLicensehandle for the plugin lifetime. - Read
Statusagain where each protected action begins. - Marshal from
StateChangedbefore touching host UI APIs. - Open
ShowResolutionUi()only from a control the person chose. - Follow the guide for Revit, Rhino and Grasshopper, or Windows desktop for your integration.
