Troubleshoot the SDK

Start with the current state and its reason, then check the environment that owns activation, storage, packaging, or host UI access.

The state stays Unlicensed on first run

Show Reason. If Action is SignIn, offer a button that calls ShowResolutionUi(). Check the workstation's proxy, firewall, clock, and browser policy.

The plugin works online but not after a restart

Confirm the same Windows user runs the host and can write to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Drawspan. Credentials are protected for that Windows account.

A Grasshopper component or Revit add-in will not load

Ship Drawspan.Client.V1.dll beside the plugin assembly. For Rhino, build and install the output matching its selected .NET runtime. Do not copy only the .gha.

UI changes throw from StateChanged

The event is raised on a renewal thread. Dispatch to the host UI context before touching UI or host APIs.

The reason says Drawspan requires Windows

The V1 SDK does not support macOS or Linux. Compiling against netstandard2.0 does not make its Windows credential storage portable.
